Comments

When a visitor leaves a comment on the site, we collect the data provided in the comment form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser user-agent data to help detect spam.

An anonymized string created from your email address (“hash”) may be provided to the Gravatar service to check if you are using it. The Gravatar privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile picture will be publicly visible in the context of your comment.

Media Files

If you are a registered user and upload images to the site, please avoid uploading images with EXIF metadata, as this data may include information about your location via GPS. Visitors may extract this information by downloading images from the site.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site, you may opt to save your name, email address, and website in cookies. This is for your convenience, so you don’t have to fill in your details again when leaving another comment. These cookies are stored for one year.

If you have an account on the site and log in, we will set temporary cookies to determine if your browser supports cookies. These cookies do not contain any personal data and are deleted when you close your browser.

When you log in to your account, we also set several cookies containing login data and screen display preferences. Login cookies are stored for two days, and screen preferences cookies are stored for one year. If you select the “Remember Me” option, your login data will be saved for two weeks. When you log out of your account, login cookies are deleted.

When you edit or publish an article in the browser, an additional cookie will be stored. It does not contain personal data and only includes the ID of the post you edited. This cookie expires after 1 day.

Embedded Content from Other Websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g., videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content behaves in the same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These external sites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interactions with the embedded content, including tracking your interaction if you have an account and are logged into that site.

Courses and Services

If you register for a course on our site, we collect the necessary information for registration, payment, and course access. We retain your personal data only for the purpose of providing the service and fulfilling the obligations related to the course.

We are committed to not using your personal data for any other purposes without your consent.

Sharing Your Data

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the password reset email.

We may share your data with third parties if necessary to fulfill contractual obligations (e.g., payment processing or course delivery).

How Long We Retain Your Data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is done to automatically approve subsequent comments instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users who are registered on our site, we retain the personal information they provide in their profile. All users can view, edit, or delete their profile information at any time (except for the username). The website administration can also view and modify this information.

For users who register for a course, we retain the information necessary for participation in the course, including participation and payment history, for the time necessary to fulfill the terms of the agreement and in compliance with tax and financial requirements.

Your Rights Regarding Your Data

If you have an account on the site or have left comments, you can request an export file of the personal data we have stored about you, including the data you have provided. You may also request the deletion of this data, except for data we are required to retain for administrative purposes, by law, or for security purposes.

Under the GDPR, you also have the right to access, correct, restrict processing, delete, or transfer your data. To exercise these rights, please contact us using the contact details provided below.

Where Your Data is Sent

User comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

We may also transfer your data to our partners who assist with course and payment processing, as well as other services related to your participation in the course.
